The regular season for players at the 9-12 year old level concludes in June with end of season tournament events. We have options for players to continue playing in July as we offer All-Star teams that compete against other district teams and we offer an "extended season" for coaches and players that want to continue to play that are not a part of the All-Star team program. Coaches and players can only be a part of one program. Extended season is a free program, but All-Stars will cost each player $60 for tournament fees, equipment and player expenses.
The goal of extended season is to play baseball in July for all that are interested. We will have a 9 YO league and a 10-12 YO league comprised of players that have played during the season, but who are not playing All-Stars. The league will run from July 8 thru July 25 with teams playing 6 games. The 9 YO games are on Monday & Wednesday and the 10-12 YO games are on Tuesday & Thursday. No games will be played on weekends and practices will be at the discretion of each coach. Roster size will be based on coaches and player interest with games played at the BBC, Happy Acres and Aquatore as space allows. Some modified rules will also be in place for this league to allow for maximum participation and player development.
All league eligible players will form a new 9 YO and 10-12 YO league. We will combine several teams so players can play with their teammates from the season and coaches can continue to the coach the players they have had during the regular season. The exact makeup of the teams will not be known until the team interest process is completed in mid-June.
Please note that the 10-12 YO league will be a mix of majors and minors and 9 YO league will be players from the rookie league.
Team assignments and the game schedule will be announced by June 27 and at that time teams can begin preparations for league play with games July 8 – 25. No end of season tournament will be held for this league.
